Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Page Sheriff (operated by BizSaloon) collects, why, who we share it with, and your choices. We collect as little as we can: there are no accounts, no sign-up and no tracking cookies.
What we collect
- The URL you submit and that page's public content. We fetch the page and store the generated report, which includes extracted text from the page (headline, buttons, headings and a sample of visible text), so you can return to it via its link.
- Your IP address. Used in memory to apply rate limits (e.g. audits per hour) and prevent abuse. The app does not store it with your report. Our web server's standard access logs record IP addresses and requested pages for security and troubleshooting and are kept for [OWNER: e.g. 30 days].
- If you buy a full report: payment happens on Stripe's checkout page. Stripe collects your card details and email; we never see your full card number. We store the Stripe checkout session ID, amount and currency with your report so we can confirm the purchase and handle refunds.
- Emails you send us, if you contact support.
Please don't submit pages that contain other people's personal information; Page Sheriff is meant for public marketing pages.
How we use it
- to produce, store and show your report, and unlock it after payment;
- to prevent abuse and keep the service secure;
- to answer support requests and process refunds;
- to meet legal and accounting obligations.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Stripe (payments), under Stripe's own privacy policy.
- AI provider (only when AI analysis is switched on): the extracted page content is sent to [OWNER: provider, e.g. Google Gemini API or Groq] to generate scores and rewrites. [OWNER: check the provider's data-use terms. Some free tiers allow the provider to use submitted content to improve its products; disclose that here or use a tier that doesn't.]
- Hosting: our server provider [OWNER: e.g. Hostinger, server location].
Cookies and analytics
Page Sheriff itself sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. To see how the service is used, we count events as daily totals on our own server: page views (per page type, e.g. "home" or "a report"), audits started, completed and failed, checkout button clicks and paid unlocks. These counts contain no IP address, no cookie or device identifier, no browser details and no audited URL, so they can't be linked to you. Stripe's checkout page may set its own cookies for payment and fraud prevention.
How long we keep data
- Free reports: deleted automatically 90 days after they are created. Paid reports: kept for at least 365 days after creation or purchase (whichever is later), so you can come back to them, then deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete a report sooner.
- Anonymous daily usage counts: up to about 13 months.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Web server logs: [OWNER: e.g. 30 days].
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Email support@bizsaloon.com with your report link and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Reports are reachable only through their unguessable links, traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and payment data stays with Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
Page Sheriff is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.
